Audit Manager
Adam Cauldwell
I work with a variety of audit clients from different sectors, my aim is always to really understand the client’s business. By understanding the business and how the client works, I then know how to tailor a smooth audit that meets Gerald Edelman’s high standards of audit quality.
Many audits are now carried out remotely, but I am still a fan of going out to the client’s site and speaking face to face when possible. I understand that the annual audit can be a difficult time for management so I always consider their timetable when planning audits.
I manage a portfolio of audit clients from a variety of backgrounds. I am involved in the audit throughout the entire process of planning through to completion. I liaise regularly with the client and guide the team to ensure that audits are completed to the high standard of quality expected from GE.
I am also very much involved in the training here at GE. I help put together a training plan for the new graduates that join us each intake. I help to make sure that our junior audit staff are equipped with the necessary skills to overcome any challenges faced in audit.

I studied Economics at the University of York and then found myself drawn to a career in accountancy. I trained to become an accountant in a medium sized practice based just outside of London. Part way through my training contract I began to specialise in audit. After qualifying, I moved to London and joined Gerald Edelman LLP as an Audit Senior. Through hard work, I managed to climb the ranks to Audit Manager.

I one day hope to complete the three peaks challenge, climbing the tallest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours.
