Anne Staunton
I truly enjoy the work I do for my clients and always provide them with prompt and helpful advice. By trying to anticipate the needs of my clients and planning for them, I ensure that they receive relevant and comprehensive advice and are fully aware of their responsibilities when it comes to VAT.
In my previous firm, I was part of a team providing specialist VAT advice to accountants and having formerly worked as a VAT inspector, I can offer my clients a full breadth of knowledge on all matters relating to VAT, including VAT returns, registration and preparing cases for tribunal. I work with clients from varying sectors, and have a particular interest in VAT advice relating to land and property, construction and place of supply.

What one piece of advice would you give your 10-year-old self?
Be brave and embrace every opportunity, however daunting. Life is far too short to just play it safe!
If you could have dinner with anyone who would it be?
Sylvia Plath – she was incredibly talented and I would love to know more about this troubled soul and how she translated her feelings into such moving poetry.
Who inspires you?
Oprah Winfrey – she came from poverty and worked hard to become one of the most influential people in the world. Her philanthropic work promoting education for girls from very poor backgrounds is truly inspirational.
