CONTACT BRONWYN
As part of the internal finance team, I work behind the scenes to ensure that the firm’s financial operations are running smoothly and in a responsible way. While I don’t interact a lot with clients directly, I work closely with internal teams to ensure they have the financial resources needed to provide a high-quality service.
I am very passionate about people and contributing to a positive working environment, so I do always try to bring my best self to work and live up to our motto of making every interaction a positive one.
I try to create an environment where people across the firm know that we are all approachable and lead the team with a solution orientated mindset.
If you’re interested…
I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and moved to Cape Town with my family when I was 17. I went to the University of Cape Town for two years but didn’t finish my degree. I started working and studying part time when I was 21 before moving to the UK in 2018. At Gerald Edelman, I’ve been given the opportunity to continue my studies and progress towards my ACA qualification. 2026 should be the year I finally qualify as a Chartered Accountant!
What is the most daring thing you’ve ever done?
Before I turned 21, it was on my bucket list to bungee jump. Long story short, 3 days before the date I found myself on the edge of Bloukrans Bridge, 216m above the Bloukrans River, and lived to tell the tale!
What is the most exciting thing on your bucket list?
I am fascinated by the Indian culture, and I’d love to do a month-long tour of the country. The Indian people are my second favourite population on earth – second only to South Africans.
What one piece of advice would you give your 10-year-old self?
Embrace challenges, do hard things and don’t shy away from tough conversations!
If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be?
Family means a lot to me, and I lost my Dad in 2020 to a heart attack. So, without a doubt my Dad and somewhere along the Mediterranean would be ideal.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
A photographic memory, it would make studying a lot easier!
Who inspires you?
I’m inspired by anyone who confronts their fears, takes on difficult tasks with a positive attitude, and steps outside their comfort zone.
