Manager
Jo Reed
I work with the VAT team to help our clients get the best possible VAT advice, helping them to understand what they need to do and how to do it! Although, VAT can be complex and frustrating, let’s be honest, VAT’s where it’s at! My job as VAT Manager is to ensure our clients feel they can come to us with VAT issues and have a straight talking and simple solution with guidance every step of the way from our brilliant and supportive team.
Every client is different, but the experience I aim to provide is always the same. I hope that when clients work with me, they see that I aim to be open, honest, friendly and helpful, oh, and give them the right answers! In doing so, I can provide my expertise whilst also having fun! That’s what it’s all about, right?
If you’re interested…
I was a Cub Scout leader for several years including when I lived in Cyprus – it was great as they had their own campsite by the beach, their own woods and lots of military volunteers who could teach them survival skills.
What is the most daring thing you’ve ever done?
A tandem parachute jump when I lived in Cyprus and worked at the Joint Services Adventurous Training Centre. It was great, but I don’t ever want to do it again.
What is the most exciting thing on your bucket list?
I don’t really have a bucket list! I’m quite boring – I’d like to travel more and spend more time with friends and family who I appreciate more and more as I’ve get older.
What one piece of advice would you give your 10-year-old self?
Don’t get that perm when you’re 16!
If you could have dinner with anyone who would it be?
Probably my mum, as I’ve got older I realise how lucky I have been, to have someone with such a capacity for love and compassion in my life; treating everyone with dignity, with such a zest for life. She’s also a great cook but still makes me eat too many vegetables!
