I am a qualified Chartered Accountant CA(SA), BFP ACA and experienced associate director at Gerald Edelman. With over 11 years of experience in audit, of which over nine years specialising in the audit of the natural resources and energy at EY and BDO. I have lead teams of auditors in providing high-quality assurance services to clients of different complexity and size, these include large listed engagements (FTSE, LSE, AIM,TSX, JSE) working on an international scale including the UK and Europe, US, West Africa, South Africa, Brazil and Canada, to owner managed businesses.

What is the most daring thing you’ve ever done?

Completing the Fish River Canoe Marathon, a two-day marathon that takes place along the Fish River in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. The total distance of this aquatic adventure is a whopping 81.8 kilometres!

What is the most exciting thing on your bucket list?

Visit the DRC and hike Mount Nyiragongo. Mount Nyiragongo is an active stratovolcano with an elevation of 3,470 m (11,385 ft) in the Virunga Mountains associated with the Albertine Rift. It is located inside Virunga National Park, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

What one piece of advice would you give your 10-year-old self?

Remember and protect the unwavering confidence in who you are, your abilities and what you aim to achieve in life.
