Helping our clients succeed and getting real results from the advice I deliver gives me the greatest satisfaction.
I advise clients on a wide and diverse range of issues across multiple industries, business types and sizes, and geographical locations. During my career, I have been fortunate enough to work with many high calibre business minds which, together with my varied experience, enables me to deliver well-rounded business advice.
Most of my work involves transactions, such as undertaking buy-side financial due diligence in connection with a corporate acquisition, negotiating and advising on a sales purchase agreement on the sell-side, and everything in between.
My other areas of focus include forensic accounting and expert witness support, preparing financial models and valuations and, more recently, technical IFRS accounting support (including the preparation of UK listed IFRS accounts), which builds on my previous Big 4 experience.
If you’re interested…
At 17 I started my journey to becoming a chartered accountant at Newcastle University’s ‘Flying Start’ program, jointly run by PwC. Following graduation in 2015, I joined PwC’s assurance department, based in Cardiff. By late 2016, I had fully qualified as a chartered accountant and made the decision to move across to Gerald Edelman, having been enticed by a varied role within Corporate Finance.
What’s the most daring thing you’ve ever done?
When I was 19, I travelled across India on a shoestring budget for six weeks. Having never been to Asia before, I had no idea how difficult, demanding and (at times) scary India can be. But, to this day, it remains the best trip I’ve ever been on!
What’s the most exciting thing on your bucket list?
I would love to cycle across a continent, particularly Asia or North America. However, I am in no way an experienced cyclist – perhaps I should start off with a John O’Groats to Land’s End test run first.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
To travel back in time. I find it fascinating how places have changed over time (and it would give me the chance to laugh at my parent’s ridiculous 70s hairstyles).
Who inspires you?
Jurgen Klopp – his energy and positivity are infectious and yet, somehow, he always achieves great results. He is everything an exceptional leader should be.
