Business Services Manager
We are looking for an experienced Manager to join our growing Business Services Department. The role is a hybrid mix of working in the Cornhill office and home working. The right person will be managing a portfolio serviced by their own team and working closely with a partner. Therefore, we are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a flexible attitude.

What will the role entail?
- Working on a diverse portfolio of clients, including small and medium sized privately owned limited companies, LLP’s, partnerships, and sole traders. You will need to oversee the delivery of compliance services to clients in addition to ad-hoc projects as they arise.
- Reviewing the work of members of the team and assisting the team in their training and development.
- Preparation of proposals for potential clients.

Responsibilities
- Management of portfolio of clients across different sectors ensuring compliance requirements are met on a timely manner, exercising judgement on requirements for partner input and meeting high quality standards.
- Undertake ad hoc assignments as required by clients
- Management of client WIP and billing process for a portfolio of clients demonstrating commercial awareness without compromising quality.
- Plan, supervise and review statutory accounts in line with relevant accounting standards.
- Review management reports and attend client meetings when necessary to present results and KPIs.
- Provide business advice to enhance value offering to clients to drive business growth and co-ordinate internally to bring in relevant technical expertise where necessary.
- Provide training and development to members of the department through regular and useful feedback and actively promotes team members towards career progression.
- Able to delegate effectively and assign tasks based on each individual’s knowledge and skills.
- Demonstrate the necessary soft skills to nurture and grow client relationships.
- Responsible for proactive workload management across their portfolio.
- Managing resource requirements using a proactive approach within the team/department.
- Make regular contributions at department level, regardless of team, facilitate growth and efficiency.
- Keep abreast with technical and regulatory changes and up to date with current affairs.
- Track record of adherence to firm policies and procedures and suggest changes and improvements where necessary.
- Actively involved in internal initiatives and builds strong internal relationships beyond their own department.
- Demonstrates initiative by anticipating the needs of the department, clients and the wider firm and takes the necessary action.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to share information in a clear and timely manner with the appropriate people.
